All framing is carried out on the premises by our guild commended framers, taking great care to produce framing which we are proud of and you will love.

We can frame almost anything……

We also have a large selection of ready made frames and mounts in all popular sizes. Mounts can be cut
to your exact requirements, usually within the hour.

Some frequently ask questions at the framing counter.

Q. How long does framing take.
A. We normal quote between 7 to 10 days, but will always try to meet your deadline and can frame most items at quite short notice.

Q. How much does framing cost?
A. Because there are so many variables, frame, size, type of item being framed , glass and mountboard if needed, stretching if
it’s a needlework or oil, it is very difficult to produce a cover all price list. We however are pleased to give a quote, for any
item needing framing either bring it in, and we can discuss the options or phone and we will give you a price.

Q. Which is the best type of glass to use?
A. We stock four type of glass, Clear, non reflective, waterwhite anti reflective and Tru Vue conservation.

Clear picture glass is the most economic, it will reflect light but does give the picture a crisp sparkling look.

Non reflective is etched to give It the completely non reflective look, but does loose a little clarity.

Waterwhite anti reflective as a coating similar to a camera lens, there is reflection but in the viewing position is
almost invisible, and is the best choice for your viewing pleasure .,

Tru Vue conservation is reflective, but as an ultra violet filtering coating blocking 98% of harmful U/V rays.
It will keep precious art work fresh and allow it to stand the test of time. Ideal for framing original art, limited editions,
needle art and any other framed piece with sentimental value.

Perspex is available for situations where safety and weight, are a consideration

Q. I have quite a few photographs; can they be framed in one frame?
A. Any number of photographs can be incorporated into a framing design, the most we have framed is 50
Photographs and we achieved a very successful design. It is also possible to include other items into the design such
as badges, medals or certificates.

Q. None of the frame mouldings on display are what I am looking for.
A. We display approximate 600 frame mouldings, this covers most requirements. But if you are trying to match a previous framed piece we will always endeavor to source a match if possible. We can also hand finish frames to your exact needs,
using stains, paint or washes. We can produce a sample before you choose..
